The world cannot hate you, but it hates me, because I am testifying about it that its deeds are evil.

Instead, put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh to arouse its desires. ¹ 

Do not lie to one another since you have put off the old man with its practices

They will maintain the outward appearance ¹  of religion but will have repudiated its power. So avoid people like these. ² 

And let endurance have its perfect effect, so that you will be perfect and complete, not deficient in anything.

The nations ¹  will walk by its light and the kings of the earth will bring their grandeur ²  into it.

When ¹  the disciples saw him walking on the water ²  they were terrified and said, “It’s a ghost!” and cried out with fear.

For this reason I tell you that the kingdom of God will be taken from you and given to a people ¹  who will produce its fruit.

Then Jesus said to him, “Put your sword back in its place! ¹  For all who take hold of the sword will die by the sword.

when it is sown, it grows up, ¹  becomes the greatest of all garden plants, and grows large branches so that the wild birds ²  can nest in its shade.” ³ 

Salt ¹  is good, but if it loses its saltiness, ²  how can you make it salty again? Have salt in yourselves, and be at peace with each other.”

for each tree is known ¹  by its own fruit. For figs are not gathered ²  from thorns, nor are grapes picked ³  from brambles. ⁴ 

Look at my hands and my feet; it’s me! ¹  Touch me and see; a ghost ²  does not have flesh and bones like you see I have.”

But Jesus said to Peter, “Put your sword back into its sheath! Am I not to drink the cup that the Father has given me?” ¹

He ¹  saw heaven ²  opened ³  and an object something like a large sheet ⁴  descending, ⁵  being let down to earth ⁶  by its four corners.

‘After this ¹  I ²  will return, and I will rebuild the fallen tent ³  of David; I will rebuild its ruins and restore ⁴  it,

After three months we put out to sea ¹  in an Alexandrian ship that had wintered at the island and had the “Heavenly Twins” ²  as its figurehead. ³ 

For circumcision ¹  has its value if you practice the law, but ²  if you break the law, ³  your circumcision has become uncircumcision.
