I have a baptism ¹  to undergo, ²  and how distressed I am until it is finished!

“Salt ¹  is good, but if salt loses its flavor, ²  how can its flavor be restored?

If David then calls him ‘Lord,’ how can he be his son?” ¹ 

Therefore be resolved ¹  not to rehearse ²  ahead of time how to make your defense.

But if you do not believe what Moses ¹  wrote, how will you believe my words?”

So they asked him, ¹  “How then were you made to see?” ² 

Thus the people who had come to mourn ¹  said, “Look how much he loved him!”

And how is it that each one of us hears them ¹  in our own native language? ² 

For I will show him how much he must suffer for the sake of my name.” ¹ 

Absolutely not! How can we who died to sin still live in it?

how much more glorious will the ministry of the Spirit be? ¹ 

Therefore be very careful how you live – not as unwise but as wise,

that each of you know how to possess his own body ¹  in holiness and honor,

If you then, although you are evil, ¹  know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give good gifts ²  to those who ask him!

If you then, although you are ¹  evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will the heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit ²  to those who ask him!”

And if ¹  this is how God clothes the wild grass, ²  which is here ³  today and tomorrow is tossed into the fire to heat the oven, ⁴  how much more ⁵  will he clothe you, you people of little faith!

How much more valuable is a person than a sheep! So it is lawful to do good on the Sabbath.”

So if ¹  Satan casts out Satan, he is divided against himself. How then will his kingdom stand?

Jesus said to them, “How many loaves do you have?” They replied, “Seven – and a few small fish.”

When the disciples saw it they were amazed, saying, “How did the fig tree wither so quickly?”
