Esteem her highly ¹  and she will exalt you; she will honor you if you embrace her.

Riches and honor are with me, long-lasting wealth and righteousness.

The fear of the Lord provides wise instruction, ¹  and before honor comes humility. ² 

Before destruction the heart ¹  of a person is proud, but humility comes ²  before honor. ³ 

It is an honor for a person ¹  to cease ²  from strife, but every fool quarrels. ³ 

The one who pursues righteousness and love ¹  finds life, bounty, ²  and honor.

The reward ¹  for humility ²  and fearing the Lord ³  is riches and honor and life.

Like snow in summer or rain in harvest, so honor ¹  is not fitting for a fool. ² 

Like tying a stone in a sling, ¹  so is giving honor to a fool.

She is clothed ¹  with strength ²  and honor, ³  and she can laugh ⁴  at the time ⁵  to come.

honor your father and mother, ¹  and love your neighbor as yourself.” ² 

They ¹  love the place of honor at banquets and the best seats in the synagogues ² 

and the best seats in the synagogues ¹  and the places of honor at banquets.

(For Jesus himself had testified that a prophet has no honor in his own country.) ¹ 

None of the rest dared to join them, ¹  but the people held them in high honor. ² 

eternal life to those who by perseverance in good works seek glory and honor and immortality,

“Honor your father and mother,” ¹  which is the first commandment accompanied by a promise, namely,

So welcome him in the Lord with great joy, and honor people like him,

that each of you know how to possess his own body ¹  in holiness and honor,
