I will boast ¹  in the Lord; let the oppressed hear and rejoice! ² 

I am like a man who cannot hear and is incapable of arguing his defense. ¹ 

During the evening, morning, and noontime I will lament and moan, ¹  and he will hear ²  me. ³ 

Their venom is like that of a snake, ¹  like a deaf serpent ²  that does not hear, ³

Indeed, they will hear meaningless gibberish, senseless babbling, a syllable here, a syllable there. ¹ 

Before they even call out, ¹  I will respond; while they are still speaking, I will hear.

“Son of man, you are living in the midst of a rebellious house. ¹  They have eyes to see, but do not see, and ears to hear, but do not hear, ²  because they are a rebellious house.

If you afflict them ¹  in any way ²  and they cry to me, I will surely hear ³  their cry,

So Moses said to them, “Remain ¹  here and I will hear ²  what the Lord will command concerning you.”
