They got up at dawn and Samuel called to Saul on the roof, “Get up, so I can send you on your way.” So Saul got up and the two of them – he and Samuel – went outside.

Abraham got up early in the morning and went ¹  to the place where he had stood before the Lord.

Then Moses got up ¹  and went to Dathan and Abiram; and the elders of Israel went after him.

So Balaam got up in the morning, saddled his donkey, and went with the princes of Moab.

When the man got ready to leave, ¹  his father-in-law convinced him to stay another night. ² 

When David got up the next morning, the Lord had already spoken ¹  to Gad the prophet, David’s seer:

Adonijah feared Solomon, so he got up and went and grabbed hold of the horns of the altar. ¹ 

Elisha ¹  said, “Get me a new jar and put some salt in it.” So they got it.

Then some Levites, from the Kohathites and Korahites, got up and loudly praised the Lord God of Israel. ¹ 

Because of this the king got furiously angry ¹  and gave orders to destroy all the wise men of Babylon.

In the morning, at the earliest sign of daylight, the king got up and rushed to the lions’ den.

Then he got up, took the child and his mother during ¹  the night, and went to Egypt.

So ¹  he got up and took the child and his mother and returned to the land of Israel.

He touched her hand, and the fever left her. Then ¹  she got up and began to serve them.

As he got out he saw the large crowd, and he had compassion on them and healed their sick.

So he said, “Come.” Peter got out of the boat, walked on the water, and came toward Jesus.

After sending away the crowd, he got into the boat and went to the region of Magadan. ¹ 

In those days ¹  Mary got up and went hurriedly into the hill country, to a town of Judah, ² 

Her ¹  spirit returned, ²  and she got up immediately. Then ³  he told them to give her something to eat.

When ¹  he got up from prayer, he came to the disciples and found them sleeping, exhausted ²  from grief.
