“I have been with you for the past twenty years. Your ewes and female goats have not miscarried, nor have I eaten rams from your flocks.

Your lamb must be ¹  perfect, ²  a male, one year old; ³  you may take ⁴  it from the sheep or from the goats.

Everyone who had ¹  blue, purple, or ²  scarlet yarn, fine linen, goats’ hair, ram skins dyed red, or fine leather ³  brought them. ⁴ 

“‘If his offering is from the flock for a burnt offering ¹  – from the sheep or the goats – he must present a flawless male,

He must also take ¹  two male goats ²  from the congregation of the Israelites for a sin offering and one ram for a burnt offering.

if it is to be acceptable for your benefit ¹  it must be a flawless male from the cattle, sheep, or goats.

This is what is to be done ¹  for each ox, or each ram, or each of the male lambs or the goats.

You must purify each garment and everything that is made of skin, everything made of goat’s hair, and everything made of wood.” ¹

“People of Judah, ¹  get out of Babylon quickly! Leave the land of Babylonia! ²  Be the first to depart! ³  Be like the male goats that lead the herd.

“‘As for you, my sheep, this is what the sovereign Lord says: Look, I am about to judge between one sheep and another, between rams and goats.
