And call no one your ‘father’ on earth, for you have one Father, who is in heaven.

So ¹  the rich man ²  said, ‘Then I beg you, father – send Lazarus ³  to my father’s house

(Not that anyone has seen the Father except the one who is from God – he ¹  has seen the Father.) ² 

just as the Father knows me and I know the Father – and I lay down my life ¹  for ²  the sheep.

Blessed is ¹  the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort,

All things have been handed over to me by my Father. ¹  No one knows the Son except the Father, and no one knows the Father except the Son and anyone to whom the Son decides ²  to reveal him.

All things have been given to me by my Father. ¹  No one knows who the Son is except the Father, or who the Father is except the Son and anyone to whom the Son decides ²  to reveal him.”

Then they began asking ¹  him, “Who is your father?” Jesus answered, “You do not know either me or my Father. If you knew me you would know my Father too.” ² 

Jesus replied, ¹  “Do not touch me, for I have not yet ascended to my Father. Go to my brothers and tell them, ‘I am ascending to my Father and your Father, to my God and your God.’”

But whenever you pray, go into your room, ¹  close the door, and pray to your Father in secret. And your Father, who sees in secret, will reward you. ² 

For Moses said, ‘Honor your father and your mother,’ ¹  and, ‘Whoever insults his father or mother must be put to death.’ ² 

The ¹  younger of them said to his ²  father, ‘Father, give me the share of the estate ³  that will belong ⁴  to me.’ So ⁵  he divided his ⁶  assets between them. ⁷ 

I will get up and go to my father and say to him, “Father, I have sinned ¹  against heaven ²  and against ³  you.

Just as the living Father sent me, and I live because of the Father, so the one who consumes ¹  me will live because of me.

I am telling you the things I have seen while with the ¹  Father; ²  as for you, ³  practice the things you have heard from the ⁴  Father!”

My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all, ¹  and no one can snatch ²  them from my Father’s hand.

Believe me that I am in the Father, and the Father is in me, but if you do not believe me, ¹  believe because of the miraculous deeds ²  themselves.

but I am doing just what the Father commanded me, so that the world may know ¹  that I love the Father. ²  Get up, let us go from here.” ³ 

When the Advocate ¹  comes, whom I will send you from the Father – the Spirit of truth who goes out from the Father – he ²  will testify about me,

I came from the Father and entered into the world, but in turn, ¹  I am leaving the world and going back to the Father.” ²
