Drink water from your own cistern and running water from your own well. ¹ 

“Come, eat ¹  some of my food, and drink some of the wine I have mixed. ² 

let them ¹  drink and forget ²  their poverty, and remember their misery no more.

For no one ¹  can eat and drink ²  or experience joy ³  apart from him. ⁴ 

“Son of man, eat your bread with trembling, ¹  and drink your water with anxious shaking.

No priest may drink wine when he enters the inner court.

“But you made the Nazirites drink wine; ¹  you commanded the prophets, ‘Do not prophesy!’

And now when you eat and drink, are you not doing so for yourselves?’”

Then he set up the peeled branches in all the watering troughs where the flocks came to drink. He set up the branches in front of the flocks when they were in heat and came to drink. ¹ 

“Do not drink wine or strong drink, you and your sons with you, when you enter into the Meeting Tent, so that you do not die, which is a perpetual statute throughout your generations, ¹ 

He said to her, “Give me a little water to drink, because I’m thirsty.” She opened a goatskin container of milk and gave him some milk to drink. Then she covered him up again.

She should not drink ¹  anything that the grapevine produces. She must not drink wine or beer, and she must not eat any food that will make her ritually unclean. ²  She should obey everything I commanded her to do.”

If they refuse to take the cup from your hand and drink it, tell them that the Lord who rules over all says ¹  ‘You most certainly must drink it! ² 

But they answered, “We do not drink wine because our ancestor Jonadab son of Rechab commanded us not to. He told us, ‘You and your children must never drink wine.

For just as you ¹  have drunk ²  on my holy mountain, so all the nations will drink continually. ³  They will drink, and they will gulp down; they will be as though they had never been.

“You who force your neighbor to drink wine ¹  are as good as dead ²  – you who make others intoxicated by forcing them to drink from the bowl of your furious anger, ³  so you can look at their genitals. ⁴ 

Doesn’t my master drink from this cup ¹  and use it for divination? ²  You have done wrong!’” ³ 

This is the burnt offering for every Sabbath, ¹  besides the continual burnt offering and its drink offering.

They traveled from Alush and camped at Rephidim, where there was no water for the people to drink.

But he replied, “I can’t go back with you ¹  or eat and drink ²  with you in this place.
