Your father Abraham was overjoyed ¹  to see my day, and he saw it and was glad.” ² 

So Jesus said, “Leave her alone. She has kept it for the day of my burial. ¹ 

Now ¹  when the day of Pentecost had come, they were all together in one place.

On the next day, ¹  their rulers, elders, and experts in the law ²  came together ³  in Jerusalem. ⁴ 

but ¹  God raised him up on the third day and caused him to be seen, ² 

So the churches were being strengthened in the faith and were increasing in number every day. ¹ 

But until this very day whenever Moses is read, a veil lies over their minds, ¹ 

because of your participation ¹  in the gospel from the first day until now. ² 

For if Joshua had given them rest, God ¹  would not have spoken afterward about another day.

because the great day of their ¹  wrath has come, and who is able to withstand it?” ² 

Its gates will never be closed during the day ¹  (and ²  there will be no night there). ³ 

At that moment Jesus said to the crowd, “Have you come out with swords and clubs to arrest me like you would an outlaw? ¹  Day after day I sat teaching in the temple courts, yet ²  you did not arrest me.

Day after day I was with you, teaching in the temple courts, yet ¹  you did not arrest me. But this has happened so that ²  the scriptures would be fulfilled.”

Day after day when I was with you in the temple courts, ¹  you did not arrest me. ²  But this is your hour, ³  and that of the power ⁴  of darkness!”

On the first day ¹  of the week, when we met ²  to break bread, Paul began to speak ³  to the people, and because he intended ⁴  to leave the next day, he extended ⁵  his message until midnight.

As day was about to dawn, ¹  Paul urged them all to take some food, saying, “Today is the fourteenth day you have been in suspense ²  and have gone ³  without food; you have eaten nothing. ⁴ 

For he says, “I heard you at the acceptable time, and in the day of salvation I helped you.” ¹  Look, now is the acceptable time; look, now is the day of salvation!

Now, dear friends, do not let this one thing escape your notice, ¹  that a single day is like a thousand years with the Lord and a thousand years are like a single day.

while waiting for and hastening ¹  the coming of the day of God? ²  Because of this day, ³  the heavens will be burned up and ⁴  dissolve, and the celestial bodies ⁵  will melt away in a blaze! ⁶ 

I ¹  tell you that on the day of judgment, people will give an account for every worthless word they speak.
