The Lord appeared in the tent in a pillar of cloud that ¹  stood above the door of the tent.

The priests could not carry out their duties ¹  because of the cloud; the Lord’s glory filled his temple. ² 

He led them with a cloud by day, and with the light of a fire all night long.

He spoke to them from a pillar of cloud; ¹  they obeyed his regulations and the ordinance he gave them.

He spread out a cloud for a cover, ¹  and provided a fire to light up the night.

Then ¹  a voice came from the cloud, saying, “This is my Son, my Chosen One. ²  Listen to him!” ³ 

Then ¹  they will see the Son of Man arriving in a cloud ²  with power and great glory.

So ¹  the one seated on the cloud swung his sickle over the earth, and the earth was reaped.

He did not remove the pillar of cloud by day nor the pillar of fire by night from before the people. ¹ 

In the morning watch ¹  the Lord looked down ²  on the Egyptian army ³  through the pillar of fire and cloud, and he threw the Egyptian army ⁴  into a panic. ⁵ 

As Aaron spoke ¹  to the whole community of the Israelites and they looked toward the desert, there the glory of the Lord ²  appeared ³  in the cloud,

Moses went into the cloud when he went up ¹  the mountain, and Moses was on the mountain forty days and forty nights. ² 

And ¹  whenever Moses entered the tent, the pillar of cloud would descend and stand at the entrance of the tent, and the Lord ²  would speak with Moses. ³ 

Moses was not able to enter the tent of meeting because the cloud settled on it and the glory of the Lord filled the tabernacle.

but if the cloud was not lifted up, then they would not journey further until the day it was lifted up. ¹ 

This is the way it used to be continually: The cloud would cover it by day, ¹  and there was a fiery appearance by night.

When the cloud remained over the tabernacle many days, then the Israelites obeyed the instructions ¹  of the Lord and did not journey.

¹ On the twentieth day of the second month, in the second year, the cloud was taken up from the tabernacle of the testimony. ² 

So the Israelites set out ¹  on their journeys from the wilderness of Sinai; and the cloud settled in the wilderness of Paran.

When ¹  the cloud departed from above the tent, Miriam became ²  leprous ³  as snow. Then Aaron looked at ⁴  Miriam, and she was leprous!
