it is not from ¹  works, so that no one can boast. ² 

But as it is, ¹  you boast in your arrogance. All such boasting is evil.

(To my disgrace ¹  I must say that we were too weak for that!) ²  But whatever anyone else dares to boast about ³  (I am speaking foolishly), I also dare to boast about the same thing. ⁴ 

In God I boast all day long, and we will continually give thanks to your name. (Selah)

The godly will rejoice in the Lord and take shelter in him. All the morally upright ¹  will boast. ² 

All who worship idols are ashamed, those who boast about worthless idols. All the gods bow down before him. ¹ 

Shout for joy, Daughter Zion! ¹  Shout out, Israel! Be happy and boast with all your heart, Daughter Jerusalem!

But if you call yourself a Jew and rely on the law ¹  and boast of your relationship to God ² 

But if you have bitter jealousy and selfishness in your hearts, do not boast and tell lies against the truth.

The king of Israel replied, “Tell him the one who puts on his battle gear should not boast like one who is taking it off.” ¹ 

In God – I boast in his promise ¹  – in God I trust, I am not afraid. What can mere men ²  do to me? ³

so I may see the prosperity ¹  of your chosen ones, rejoice along with your nation, ²  and boast along with the people who belong to you. ³ 

Deliver us, O Lord, our God! Gather us from among the nations! Then we will give thanks ¹  to your holy name, and boast about your praiseworthy deeds. ² 

For if Abraham was declared righteous ¹  by the works of the law, he has something to boast about – but not before God.

If I give away everything I own, and if I give over my body in order to boast, ¹  but do not have love, I receive no benefit.

so that we may preach the gospel in the regions that lie beyond you, and not boast of work already done in another person’s area.

For those who are circumcised do not obey the law themselves, but they want you to be circumcised so that they can boast about your flesh. ¹ 

But may I never boast except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, through which ¹  the world has been crucified to me, and I to the world.
