but these men lie in wait for their own blood, ¹  they ambush their own lives! ² 

haughty eyes, ¹  a lying tongue, ²  and hands that shed innocent blood, ³ 

So Moses took the blood and splashed it on ¹  the people and said, “This is the blood of the covenant ²  that the Lord has made with you in accordance with all these words.”

and take some of the blood of the bull and put it on the horns of the altar ¹  with your finger; all the rest of ²  the blood you are to pour out at the base of the altar.

and that priest must dip his finger in the blood ¹  and sprinkle ²  some of the blood seven times ³  before the Lord toward ⁴  the front of the veil-canopy. ⁵ 

Then he must sprinkle ¹  some of the blood of the sin offering on the wall of the altar, and the remainder of the blood ²  must be squeezed out at the base of the altar – it is a sin offering.

for the life of every living thing ¹  is in the blood. ²  So I myself have assigned it to you ³  on the altar to make atonement for your lives, for the blood makes atonement by means of the life. ⁴ 

Eleazar the priest is to take ¹  some of its blood with his finger, and sprinkle some of the blood seven times ²  directly in front of the tent of meeting.

and you are to kill the ram and take its blood and splash it all around on the altar.

Then that high priest must take some of the blood ¹  of the bull and bring it to the Meeting Tent.

Then the high priest ¹  must bring some of the blood of the bull to the Meeting Tent,

“‘You must not eat anything with the blood still in it. ¹  You must not practice either divination or soothsaying. ² 

The avenger ¹  of blood himself must kill the murderer; when he meets him, he must kill him.
