David defeated King Hadadezer son of Rehob of Zobah when he came to reestablish ¹  his authority ²  over the Euphrates ³  River.

Solomon son of David solidified his royal authority, ¹  for ²  the Lord his God was with him and magnified him greatly.

where your ancestors challenged my authority, ¹  and tried my patience, even though they had seen my work.

Surely the king’s authority ¹  is absolute; ²  no one can say ³  to him, “What are you doing?”

Jerusalem certainly stumbles, Judah falls, for their words and their actions offend the Lord; ¹  they rebel against his royal authority. ² 

“‘See how each of the princes of Israel living within you has used his authority to shed blood. ¹

“While doing this very thing, ¹  as I was going ²  to Damascus with authority and complete power ³  from the chief priests,

So the person who resists such authority ¹  resists the ordinance of God, and those who resist will incur judgment

For this reason a woman should have a symbol of authority ¹  on her head, because of the angels. ² 

Consequently the one who rejects this is not rejecting human authority ¹  but God, who gives his Holy Spirit to you.

But I do not allow ¹  a woman to teach or exercise authority ²  over a man. She must remain quiet. ³ 

Yet these men, ¹  as a result of their dreams, ²  defile the flesh, reject authority, ³  and insult ⁴  the glorious ones. ⁵ 

And I will grant my two witnesses authority ¹  to prophesy for 1,260 days, dressed in sackcloth.

These kings ¹  have a single intent, and they will give their power and authority to the beast.
