Then the Lord answered Job out of the whirlwind: ²

But Joseph answered them, “Don’t be afraid. Am ¹  I in the place of God?

Then the Gadites and the Reubenites answered, “Your servants will do what the Lord has spoken. ¹ 

Israelites from Naphtali, Asher, and Manasseh answered the call and chased the Midianites. ¹ 

Joab answered, “Get serious! ¹  I don’t want to swallow up or destroy anything!

Solomon answered all her questions; there was no question too complex for the king. ¹

So we fasted and prayed to our God about this, and he answered us.

Then Satan answered the Lord, “Is it for nothing that Job fears God? ¹ 

“Should not this ¹  abundance of words be answered, ²  or should this ³  talkative man ⁴  be vindicated? ⁵ 

To the Lord I cried out, ¹  and he answered me from his holy hill. ²  (Selah)

I will give you thanks, for you answered me, and have become my deliverer.

I told you about my ways ¹  and you answered me. Teach me your statutes!

When ¹  I cried out for help, you answered me. You made me bold and energized me. ² 

Ahab asked, “By whom will this be accomplished?” ¹  He answered, “This is what the Lord says, ‘By the servants of the district governors.’” Ahab ²  asked, “Who will launch the attack?” He answered, “You will.”

But the Lord’s angel ¹  called to him from heaven, “Abraham! Abraham!” “Here I am!” he answered.

The Reubenites, Gadites, and the half-tribe of Manasseh answered the leaders ¹  of the Israelite clans:

“When the leaders took the lead ¹  in Israel, When the people answered the call to war – Praise the Lord!
