Another ¹  of the ²  disciples said to him, “Lord, let me first go and bury my father.”

“Are you the one who is to come, ¹  or should we look for another?”

But they were indifferent and went away, one to his farm, another to his business.

So they began to discuss with one another about having no bread. ¹ 

So ¹  he told them, “Whoever divorces his wife and marries another commits adultery against her.

And if she divorces her husband and marries another, she commits adultery.” ¹ 

They were even more astonished and said ¹  to one another, “Then ²  who can be saved?” ³ 

But some who were present indignantly said to one another, “Why this waste of expensive ¹  ointment?

For we have all received from his fullness one gracious gift after another. ¹ 

For in this instance the saying is true, ¹  ‘One sows and another reaps.’

Another sharp division took place among the Jewish people ¹  because of these words.

My commandment is this – to love one another just as I have loved you. ¹ 

And again another scripture says, “They will look on the one whom they have pierced.” ¹ 

All were astounded and greatly confused, saying to one another, “What does this mean?”

until another king who did not know about ¹  Joseph ruled ²  over Egypt. ³ 

So then, let us pursue what makes for peace and for building up one another.

Receive one another, then, just as Christ also received you, to God’s glory.

Greet one another with a holy kiss. All the churches of Christ greet you.

So then, my brothers and sisters, ¹  when you come together to eat, wait for one another.

For you can all prophesy one after another, so all can learn and be encouraged.
