If ¹  a kingdom is divided against itself, that kingdom will not be able to stand.

If a house is divided against itself, that house will not be able to stand.

So Herodias nursed a grudge against him and wanted to kill him. But ¹  she could not

So ¹  he told them, “Whoever divorces his wife and marries another commits adultery against her.

Many gave false testimony against him, but their testimony did not agree.

The inscription ¹  of the charge against him read, “The king of the Jews.”

Whoever is not with me is against me, ¹  and whoever does not gather with me scatters. ² 

plotting against ¹  him, to catch ²  him in something he might say.

So Pilate came outside to them and said, “What accusation ¹  do you bring against this man?” ² 

blessed is the one ¹  against whom the Lord will never count ²  sin.” ³ 

Who will bring any charge against God’s elect? ¹  It is God who justifies.

For we cannot do anything against the truth, but only for the sake of the truth.

gentleness, and ¹  self-control. Against such things there is no law.

Husbands, love your wives and do not be embittered against them.

You be on guard against him ¹  too, because he vehemently opposed our words.

You have not yet resisted to the point of bloodshed ¹  in your struggle against sin.

But I have this against you: You have departed ¹  from your first love!

Now when Jesus ¹  realized what they were thinking, he said to them, ²  “Every kingdom divided against itself is destroyed, ³  and no town or house divided against itself will stand.

Whoever speaks a word against the Son of Man will be forgiven. ¹  But whoever speaks against the Holy Spirit will not be forgiven, ²  either in this age or in the age to come.

For nation will rise up in arms ¹  against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be earthquakes in various places, and there will be famines. ²  These are but the beginning of birth pains.
