When the sun rises, they withdraw and sleep ¹  in their dens.

I assure you ¹  that, before God, I am not lying about what I am writing to you! ² 

and no lie was found on their lips; ¹  they ²  are blameless.

He takes me to lush pastures, he leads me to refreshing water.

If they say, “Come with us! We will ¹  lie in wait ²  to shed blood; ³  we will ambush ⁴  an innocent person ⁵  capriciously. ⁶

in hope of eternal life, which God, who does not lie, promised before the ages began. ¹ 

Come, let’s make our father drunk with wine ¹  so we can have sexual relations ²  with him and preserve ³  our family line through our father.” ⁴ 

If I lie down, I say, ¹  ‘When will I arise?’, and the night stretches on ²  and I toss and turn restlessly ³  until the day dawns.

I have not written to you that ¹  you do not know the truth, but that ²  you do know it, and that ³  no lie is of the truth.
