Even a young man ¹  is known ²  by his actions, whether his activity is pure and whether it is right. ³ 

Her husband is well-known ¹  in the city gate ²  when he sits with the elders ³  of the land.

You have made known to me the paths of life; you will make me full of joy with your presence.’ ¹ 

You yourselves are our letter, ¹  written on our hearts, known and read by everyone,

that ¹  by revelation the divine secret ²  was made known to me, as I wrote before briefly. ³

A fool’s annoyance ¹  is known at once, ²  but the prudent ³  overlooks ⁴  an insult.

But ¹  he sternly ordered them not to make him known. ² 

I made known your name to them, and I will continue to make it known, ¹  so that the love you have loved me with may be in them, and I may be in them.”

Are your amazing deeds experienced ¹  in the dark region, ²  or your deliverance in the land of oblivion? ³ 

The Lord demonstrates his power to deliver; ¹  in the sight of the nations he reveals his justice.

Yet he delivered them for the sake of his reputation, ¹  that he might reveal his power.

Therefore let it be known to you, brothers, that through this one ¹  forgiveness of sins is proclaimed to you,

For it would have been better for them never to have known the way of righteousness than, having known it, to turn back from the holy commandment that had been delivered to them.

I appeared to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob as ¹  God Almighty, ²  but by ³  my name ‘the Lord’ ⁴  I was not known to them. ⁵

as unknown, and yet well-known; as dying and yet – see! – we continue to live; as those who are scourged ¹  and yet not executed;

God is in its fortresses; he reveals himself as its defender. ¹
