He says to himself, ¹  “God overlooks it; he does not pay attention; he never notices.” ² 

He stores up ¹  effective counsel ²  for the upright, ³  and is like ⁴  a shield ⁵  for those who live ⁶  with integrity, ⁷ 

Everyone who had ¹  blue, purple, or ²  scarlet yarn, fine linen, goats’ hair, ram skins dyed red, or fine leather ³  brought them. ⁴ 

and the coverings of ram skins dyed red, the covering of fine leather, ¹  and the protecting ²  curtain;

Then they must put over it a covering of fine leather ¹  and spread over that a cloth entirely of blue, and then they must insert its poles.

They must spread over them a scarlet cloth, and cover the same with a covering of fine leather; and they must insert its poles.

Then they must put it with all its utensils in a covering of fine leather, and put it on a carrying beam. ¹ 

“They must spread a blue cloth on the gold altar, and cover it with a covering of fine leather; and they must insert its poles.

In the north ¹  when he is at work, ²  I do not see him; ³  when he turns ⁴  to the south, I see no trace of him.

In your distress you called out and I rescued you. I answered you from a dark thundercloud. ¹  I tested you at the waters of Meribah. ²  (Selah)

even the darkness is not too dark for you to see, ¹  and the night is as bright as ²  day; darkness and light are the same to you. ³ 

I will wait patiently for the Lord, who has rejected the family of Jacob; ¹  I will wait for him.

“You are to put it in front of the curtain that is before the ark of the testimony (before the atonement lid that is over the testimony), where I will meet you.

They must carry the curtains for the tabernacle and the tent of meeting with its covering, the covering of fine leather that is over it, the curtains for the entrance of the tent of meeting,

If he regroups in a city, all Israel will take up ropes to that city and drag it down to the valley, so that not a single pebble will be left there!”

Then they must place on it all its implements with which they serve there – the trays, the meat forks, the shovels, the basins, and all the utensils of the altar – and they must spread on it a covering of fine leather, and then insert its poles. ¹ 

But we have rejected ¹  shameful hidden deeds, ²  not behaving ³  with deceptiveness ⁴  or distorting the word of God, but by open proclamation of the truth we commend ourselves to everyone’s conscience before God.
