Now, come up ¹  at night with your men ²  and set an ambush in the field outside the city. ³ 

So Abimelech and all his men came up ¹  at night and set an ambush outside Shechem – they divided into ²  four units.

So he sent horses and chariots there, along with a good-sized army. ¹  They arrived during the night and surrounded the city.

I continued up the valley during the night, inspecting the wall. Then I turned back and came to the Valley Gate, and so returned.

the one who was constantly going before you to find places for you to set up camp. He appeared by fire at night and cloud by day, to show you the way you ought to go.

Now at the end of the forty days and nights the Lord presented me with the two stone tablets, the tablets of the covenant.

Observe the month Abib ¹  and keep the Passover to the Lord your God, for in that month ²  he ³  brought you out of Egypt by night.
