So Jacob sent a message for Rachel and Leah ¹  to come to the field ²  where his flocks were. ³ 

In the dream the angel of God said to me, ‘Jacob!’ ‘Here I am!’ I replied.

Three days later Laban discovered Jacob had left. ¹ 

The man asked him, ¹  “What is your name?” ²  He answered, “Jacob.”

Then Shechem’s father Hamor went to speak with Jacob about Dinah. ¹ 

But Jacob lived in the land where his father had stayed, ¹  in the land of Canaan. ² 

So they went up from Egypt and came to their father Jacob in the land of Canaan. ¹ 

Pharaoh said to Jacob, “How long have you lived?” ¹ 

Then Jacob blessed Pharaoh and went out from his presence. ¹ 

“Assemble and listen, you sons of Jacob; listen to Israel, your father.

For the Lord’s allotment is his people, Jacob is his special possession. ¹ 

Moses delivered to us a law, ¹  an inheritance for the assembly of Jacob.

Such purity characterizes the people who seek his favor, Jacob’s descendants, who pray to him. ¹  (Selah)

You are my ¹  king, O God! Decree ²  Jacob’s ³  deliverance!

As for me, I will continually tell what you have done; ¹  I will sing praises to the God of Jacob!

At the sound of your battle cry, ¹  O God of Jacob, both rider ²  and horse “fell asleep.” ³ 

You delivered ¹  your people by your strength ²  – the children of Jacob and Joseph. (Selah)

For they have devoured Jacob and destroyed his home.

For observing the festival is a requirement for Israel; ¹  it is an ordinance given by the God of Jacob.

The Lord loves the gates of Zion more than all the dwelling places of Jacob.
