Therefore I say, ‘Listen ¹  to me. I, even I, will explain what I know.’

Do you really think ¹  that one who hates justice can govern? ²  And will you declare guilty the supremely righteous ³  One,

Who can understand the spreading of the clouds, the thunderings of his pavilion? ¹

He loads the clouds with moisture; ¹  he scatters his lightning through the clouds.

You turn back ¹  his sword from the adversary, ²  and have not sustained him in battle. ³ 

She has prepared her meat, ¹  she has mixed her wine; she also has arranged her table. ² 

If the righteous are recompensed on earth, ¹  how much more ²  the wicked sinner! ³ 

The wicked person’s sacrifice ¹  is an abomination; how much more ²  when he brings it with evil intent! ³ 

So that ¹  your confidence may be in the Lord, I am making them known to you today ²  – even you.

Indeed, she lies in wait like a robber, ¹  and increases the unfaithful ²  among men. ³ 

everyone who belongs to me, ¹  whom I created for my glory, whom I formed – yes, whom I made!

I, I have spoken – yes, I have summoned him; I lead him and he will succeed. ¹ 

I myself will also walk in hostility against you and strike you ¹  seven times on account of your sins.

I will walk in hostile rage against you ¹  and I myself will also discipline you seven times on account of your sins.

“‘As for the ones who remain among you, they will rot away because of ¹  their iniquity in the lands of your enemies, and they will also rot away because of their ancestors’ ²  iniquities which are with them.
