As for me, I will wait continually, and will continue to praise you. ¹ 

I asked, ¹  “Will the Lord reject me forever? Will he never again show me his favor?

Yet they continued to sin against him, and rebelled against the sovereign One ¹  in the desert.

He established the earth on its foundations; it will never be upended.

How will he severely punish you, you deceptive talker? ¹ 

(Let the wise also ¹  hear ²  and gain ³  instruction, and let the discerning ⁴  acquire ⁵  guidance! ⁶ )

for they will provide ¹  a long and full life, ²  and they will add well-being ³  to you.

Give instruction ¹  to a wise person, ²  and he will become wiser still; teach ³  a righteous person and he will add to his ⁴  learning.

For because ¹  of me your days will be many, and years will be added ²  to your life.

The blessing ¹  from the Lord ²  makes a person rich, ³  and he adds no sorrow ⁴  to ⁵  it.

Fearing the Lord ¹  prolongs life, ²  but the life span ³  of the wicked will be shortened. ⁴ 

One person is generous ¹  and yet grows more wealthy, ²  but another withholds more than he should ³  and comes to poverty. ⁴ 

The one who is wise in heart ¹  is called ²  discerning, and kind speech ³  increases persuasiveness. ⁴ 

A wise person’s heart ¹  makes his speech wise ²  and it adds persuasiveness ³  to his words. ⁴ 

Wealth adds many friends, but a poor person is separated ¹  from his friend. ² 

Indeed, she lies in wait like a robber, ¹  and increases the unfaithful ²  among men. ³ 

Do not add to his words, lest he reprove you, and prove you to be a liar. ¹ 

He waited seven more days and then sent out the dove again from the ark.

She named him Joseph, ¹  saying, “May the Lord give me yet another son.”

Joseph ¹  had a dream, ²  and when he told his brothers about it, ³  they hated him even more. ⁴
