Yes, ¹  I confess my wrongdoing, and I am concerned about my sins.

The reward ¹  which the righteous receive ²  is life; the recompense ³  which the wicked receive ⁴  is judgment. ⁵ 

Righteousness exalts ¹  a nation, but sin is a disgrace ²  to any people.

Who can say, ¹  “I have kept my heart clean; ²  I am pure ³  from my sin”?

A foolish scheme ¹  is sin, and the scorner is an abomination to people. ² 

The punishment ¹  of Ephraim has been decreed; ²  his punishment is being stored up for the future.

“‘If the high priest ¹  sins so that the people are guilty, ²  on account of the sin he has committed he must present a flawless young bull to the Lord ³  for a sin offering. ⁴ 

the assembly must present a young bull for a sin offering when the sin they have committed ¹  becomes known. They must bring it before the Meeting Tent,

or his sin that he committed ¹  is made known to him, ²  he must bring a flawless female goat ³  as his offering for the sin ⁴  that he committed.

He must lay his hand on the head of the sin offering and slaughter it for a sin offering in the place where the burnt offering is slaughtered.

Then he must sprinkle ¹  some of the blood of the sin offering on the wall of the altar, and the remainder of the blood ²  must be squeezed out at the base of the altar – it is a sin offering.

Then he brought near the sin offering bull ¹  and Aaron and his sons laid their hands on the head of the sin offering bull,

“Aaron is to present the sin offering bull which is for himself, and he is to make atonement on behalf of himself and his household. He is to slaughter the sin offering bull which is for himself,

and the priest is to make atonement for him with the ram of the guilt offering before the Lord for his sin that he has committed, ¹  and he will be forgiven ²  of his sin ³  that he has committed.

This happened because of the sins he committed. He did evil in the sight of ¹  the Lord and followed in Jeroboam’s footsteps and encouraged Israel to continue sinning. ² 

Then I confessed my sin; I no longer covered up my wrongdoing. I said, “I will confess ¹  my rebellious acts to the Lord.” And then you forgave my sins. ²  (Selah)

“The rebellious ¹  children are as good as dead,” ²  says the Lord, “those who make plans without consulting me, ³  who form alliances without consulting my Spirit, ⁴  and thereby compound their sin. ⁵ 

While I was still speaking and praying, confessing my sin and the sin of my people Israel and presenting my request before the LORD my God concerning his holy mountain ¹  –

This will be the punishment of Egypt and of all nations that do not go up to celebrate the Feast of Tabernacles.

“‘But if he brings a sheep as his offering, for a sin offering, he must bring a flawless female.
