Was not Abraham our father justified by works when he offered Isaac his son on the altar?

And we have seen and testify that the Father has sent the Son to be the Savior ¹  of the world.

and in the midst of the lampstands was one like a son of man. ¹  He was dressed in a robe extending down to his feet and he wore a wide golden belt ²  around his chest.

A member of the crowd said to him, “Teacher, I brought you my son, who is possessed by a spirit that makes him mute.

“And look, ¹  your relative ²  Elizabeth has also become pregnant with ³  a son in her old age – although she was called barren, she is now in her sixth month! ⁴ 

Then ¹  a man from the crowd cried out, ²  “Teacher, I beg you to look at ³  my son – he is my only child!

And everyone who speaks a word against the Son of Man will be forgiven, but the person who blasphemes against the Holy Spirit ¹  will not be forgiven. ² 

Then ¹  the owner of the vineyard said, ‘What should I do? I will send my one dear son; ²  perhaps they will respect him.’

that ¹  the Son of Man must be delivered ²  into the hands of sinful men, ³  and be crucified, ⁴  and on the third day rise again.” ⁵ 

For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, ¹  but that the world should be saved through him.

Jesus heard that they had thrown him out, so he found the man ¹  and said to him, “Do you believe in the Son of Man?” ² 

The Jewish leaders ¹  replied, ²  “We have a law, ³  and according to our law he ought to die, because he claimed to be the Son of God!” ⁴ 

“Look!” he said. ¹  “I see the heavens opened, and the Son of Man standing at the right hand of God!”

Then they asked for a king, and God gave them Saul son of Kish, a man from the tribe of Benjamin, who ruled ¹  forty years.

to reveal his Son in ¹  me so that I could preach him ²  among the Gentiles, I did not go to ask advice from ³  any human being, ⁴ 

But when the appropriate time ¹  had come, God sent out his Son, born of a woman, born under the law,

and to wait for his Son from heaven, whom he raised from the dead, Jesus our deliverer from the coming wrath. ¹
