But some who were present indignantly said to one another, “Why this waste of expensive ¹  ointment?

But some of the Pharisees ¹  said, “Why are you ²  doing what is against the law ³  on the Sabbath?”

But some of them said, “By the power of Beelzebul, ¹  the ruler ²  of demons, he casts out demons.”

But ¹  some of the Pharisees ²  in the crowd said to him, “Teacher, rebuke your disciples.” ³ 

Now some Sadducees ¹  (who contend that there is no resurrection) ²  came to him.

Then ¹  he said to them, “What are these matters ²  you are discussing so intently ³  as you walk along?” And they stood still, looking sad.

Then some of the residents of Jerusalem ¹  began to say, “Isn’t this the man ²  they are trying ³  to kill?

Some of them were wanting to seize him, but no one laid a hand on him. ¹ 

But some of them went to the Pharisees ¹  and reported to them ²  what Jesus had done.

What then? If some did not believe, does their unbelief nullify the faithfulness of God?

And let us not be immoral, as some of them were, and twenty-three thousand died in a single day. ¹ 

And let us not put Christ ¹  to the test, as some of them did, and were destroyed by snakes. ² 

Then he appeared to more than five hundred of the brothers and sisters ¹  at one time, most of whom are still alive, ²  though some have fallen asleep. ³ 

Sober up as you should, and stop sinning! For some have no knowledge of God – I say this to your shame!

Are we beginning to commend ourselves again? We don’t need letters of recommendation to you or from you as some other people do, do we? ¹ 

For which ones heard and rebelled? Was it not all who came out of Egypt under Moses’ leadership? ¹ 

To the one who had said this, Jesus ¹  replied, ²  “Who is my mother and who are my brothers?”

While ¹  they were going, some ²  of the guard went into the city and told the chief priests everything that had happened.

If I send them home hungry, they will faint on the way, and some of them have come from a great distance.”

and also some women ¹  who had been healed of evil spirits and disabilities: ²  Mary ³  (called Magdalene), from whom seven demons had gone out,
