Then ¹  the rich man ²  said, ‘No, father Abraham, but if someone from the dead ³  goes to them, they will repent.’

and said to them, “Thus it stands written that the Christ ¹  would suffer ²  and would rise from the dead on the third day,

angry ¹  because they were teaching the people and announcing ²  in Jesus the resurrection of the dead.

Now when they heard about ¹  the resurrection from the dead, some began to scoff, ²  but others said, “We will hear you again about this.”

who was appointed the Son-of-God-in-power ¹  according to the Holy Spirit ²  by the resurrection ³  from the dead, Jesus Christ our Lord.

For if their rejection is the reconciliation of the world, what will their acceptance be but life from the dead?

This power ¹  he exercised ²  in Christ when he raised him ³  from the dead and seated him ⁴  at his right hand in the heavenly realms ⁵ 

For everything made evident is light, and for this reason it says: ¹  “Awake, ²  O sleeper! ³  Rise from the dead, and Christ will shine on you!” ⁴ 

and he reasoned ¹  that God could even raise him from the dead, and in a sense ²  he received him back from there.

‘I am the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob’? ¹  He is not the God of the dead but of the living!” ² 

“Woe to you, experts in the law ¹  and you Pharisees, hypocrites! You are like whitewashed tombs that look beautiful on the outside but inside are full of the bones of the dead and of everything unclean. ² 

Now Herod ¹  the tetrarch ²  heard about everything that was happening, and he was thoroughly perplexed, ³  because some people were saying that John ⁴  had been raised from the dead,

He ¹  replied to him, ‘If they do not respond to ²  Moses and the prophets, they will not be convinced even if someone rises from the dead.’” ³ 

But those who are regarded as worthy to share in ¹  that age and in the resurrection from the dead neither marry nor are given in marriage. ² 

The ¹  women ²  were terribly frightened ³  and bowed ⁴  their faces to the ground, but the men said to them, “Why do you look for the living ⁵  among the dead?

Then, six days before the Passover, Jesus came to Bethany, where Lazarus lived, whom he ¹  had raised from the dead.

So the crowd who had been with him when he called Lazarus out of the tomb and raised him from the dead were continuing to testify about it. ¹ 

You killed ¹  the Originator ²  of life, whom God raised ³  from the dead. To this fact we are witnesses! ⁴ 

He ¹  commanded us to preach to the people and to warn ²  them ³  that he is the one ⁴  appointed ⁵  by God as judge ⁶  of the living and the dead.

But regarding the fact that he has raised Jesus ¹  from the dead, never ²  again to be ³  in a state of decay, God ⁴  has spoken in this way: ‘I will give you ⁵  the holy and trustworthy promises ⁶  made to David.’ ⁷
