So all the generations from Abraham to David are fourteen generations, and from David to the deportation to Babylon, fourteen generations, and from the deportation to Babylon to Christ, ¹  fourteen generations.

“Yes, Lord,” she replied, ¹  “but even the dogs eat the crumbs that fall from their masters’ table.”

Then they understood that he had not told them to be on guard against the yeast in bread, but against the teaching of the Pharisees and Sadducees.

Wherever ¹  they do not receive you, ²  as you leave that town, ³  shake the dust off ⁴  your feet as a testimony against them.”

from the blood of Abel ¹  to the blood of Zechariah, ²  who was killed ³  between the altar and the sanctuary. ⁴  Yes, I tell you, it will be charged against ⁵  this generation.

who longed to eat ¹  what fell from the rich man’s table. In addition, the dogs ²  came and licked ³  his sores.

For I tell you that from now on I will not drink of the fruit ¹  of the vine until the kingdom of God comes.” ² 

And all those who knew Jesus ¹  stood at a distance, and the women who had followed him from Galilee saw ²  these things.

But I have written more boldly to you on some points so as to remind you, because of the grace given to me by God

And we all, with unveiled faces reflecting the glory of the Lord, ¹  are being transformed into the same image from one degree of glory to another, ²  which is from ³  the Lord, who is the Spirit. ⁴ 

For the one who enters God’s ¹  rest has also rested from his works, just as God did from his own works.

And do not lead us into temptation, ¹  but deliver us from the evil one. ²

You snakes, you offspring of vipers! How will you escape being condemned to hell? ¹
