(For his disciples had gone off into the town to buy supplies. ¹ ) ² 

After this ¹  Jesus went away to the other side of the Sea of Galilee (also called the Sea of Tiberias). ² 

But when they had ordered them to go outside the council, ¹  they began to confer with one another,

and came ¹  and apologized to them. After ²  they brought them out, they asked them repeatedly ³  to leave the city.

The next day they let ¹  the horsemen ²  go on with him, and they returned to the barracks. ³ 

For he gazes at himself and then goes out and immediately forgets ¹  what sort of person he was.

But I tell you the truth, it is to your advantage that I am going away. For if I do not go away, the Advocate ¹  will not come to you, but if I go, I will send him to you.

Then ¹  an expert in the law ²  came to him and said, “Teacher, I will follow you wherever you go.” ³ 

Another ¹  of the ²  disciples said to him, “Lord, let me first go and bury my father.”

The ¹  herdsmen ran off, went into the town, ²  and told everything that had happened to the demon-possessed men.

When he found a pearl of great value, he went out and sold everything he had and bought it.

But he ¹  replied, “They don’t need to go. You ²  give them something to eat.”

But he refused. Instead, he went out and threw him in prison until he repaid the debt.

But when the young man heard this he went away sorrowful, for he was very rich. ¹ 

But they were indifferent and went away, one to his farm, another to his business.

But the one who had received one talent went out and dug a hole in the ground and hid his master’s money in it.

so ¹  I was afraid, and I went and hid your talent in the ground. See, you have what is yours.’

So leaving them again, he went away and prayed for the third time, saying the same thing once more.

So ¹  they left the tomb quickly, with fear and great joy, and ran to tell his disciples.

Then ¹  Jesus ²  got up early in the morning when it was still very dark, departed, and went out to a deserted place, and there he spent time in prayer. ³
