But Jesus ¹  was speaking about the temple of his body. ² 

Wretched man that I am! Who will rescue me from this body of death?

For you were bought at a price. Therefore glorify God with your body.

For in fact the body is not a single member, but many.

If they were all the same member, where would the body be?

On the contrary, those members that seem to be weaker are essential,

Now you are Christ’s body, and each of you is a member of it.

But someone will say, “How are the dead raised? With what kind of body will they come?”

to equip ¹  the saints for the work of ministry, that is, ²  to build up the body of Christ,

these are only ¹  the shadow of the things to come, but the reality ²  is Christ! ³ 

By his will ¹  we have been made holy through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.

Do ¹  not be afraid of those who kill the body ²  but cannot kill the soul. Instead, fear the one who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell. ³ 

“Food is for the stomach and the stomach is for food, but God will do away with both.” ¹  The body is not for sexual immorality, but for the Lord, and the Lord for the body.

I know a man in Christ who fourteen years ago (whether in the body or out of the body I do not know, God knows) was caught up to the third heaven.

From him the whole body grows, fitted and held together ¹  through every supporting ligament. ²  As each one does its part, the body grows in love.

who will transform these humble bodies of ours ¹  into the likeness of his glorious body by means of that power by which he is able to subject all things to himself.

When ¹  she poured this oil on my body, she did it to prepare me for burial.

He went to Pilate and asked for the body of Jesus. ¹  Then Pilate ordered that it be given to him.

Therefore do not let sin reign in your mortal body so that you obey its desires,

But if Christ is in you, your body is dead because of sin, but ¹  the Spirit is your life ²  because of righteousness.
