When evening came, the boat was in the middle of the sea and he was alone on the land.

Then he went up with them into the boat, and the wind ceased. They were completely astonished,

Immediately he got into a boat with his disciples and went to the district of Dalmanutha. ¹ 

Now ¹  they had forgotten to take bread, except for one loaf they had with them in the boat.

But some boats from Tiberias ¹  came to shore ²  near the place where they had eaten the bread after the Lord had given thanks. ³ 

we said farewell ¹  to one another. ²  Then ³  we went aboard the ship, and they returned to their own homes. ⁴ 

There the centurion ¹  found ²  a ship from Alexandria ³  sailing for Italy, and he put us aboard it.

When the ship was caught in it ¹  and could not head into ²  the wind, we gave way to it and were driven ³  along.

And now I advise ¹  you to keep up your courage, for there will be no loss of life among you, but only the ship will be lost. ² 

After three months we put out to sea ¹  in an Alexandrian ship that had wintered at the island and had the “Heavenly Twins” ²  as its figurehead. ³ 

And a great storm developed on the sea so that the waves began to swamp the boat. But he was asleep.

And such a large crowd gathered around him that he got into a boat to sit while ¹  the whole crowd stood on the shore.

Now when Jesus heard this he went away from there privately in a boat to an isolated place. But when the crowd heard about it, ¹  they followed him on foot from the towns. ² 

Immediately Jesus ¹  made the disciples get into the boat and go ahead of him to the other side, while he dispersed the crowds.

Meanwhile the boat, already far from land, ¹  was taking a beating from the waves because the wind was against it.

So he said, “Come.” Peter got out of the boat, walked on the water, and came toward Jesus.

Going on a little farther, he saw James, the son of Zebedee, and John his brother in their ¹  boat mending nets.

Immediately he called them, and they left their father Zebedee in the boat with the hired men and followed him.

When Jesus had crossed again in a boat to the other side, a large crowd gathered around him, and he was by the sea.

Immediately Jesus ¹  made his disciples get into the boat and go on ahead to the other side, to Bethsaida, while he dispersed the crowd.
