So then, tongues are a sign not for believers but for unbelievers. Prophecy, however, is not for unbelievers but for believers.

But since we have the same spirit of faith as that shown in ¹  what has been written, “I believed; therefore I spoke,” ²  we also believe, therefore we also speak.

And whatever you ask in prayer, if you believe, ¹  you will receive.”

Then if anyone says to you, ‘Look, here is the Christ!’ ¹  or ‘There he is!’ do not believe him.

They went back and told the rest, but they did not believe them.

The one who believes and is baptized will be saved, but the one who does not believe will be condemned.

And blessed ¹  is she who believed that ²  what was spoken to her by ³  the Lord would be fulfilled.” ⁴ 

But Jesus would not entrust himself to them, because he knew all people. ¹ 

so that everyone who believes in him may have eternal life.” ¹ 

But I told you ¹  that you have seen me ²  and still do not believe.

I tell you the solemn truth, ¹  the one who believes ²  has eternal life. ³ 

We ¹  have come to believe and to know ²  that you are the Holy One of God!” ³ 

None of the rulers ¹  or the Pharisees have believed in him, have they? ² 

But because I am telling you ¹  the truth, you do not believe me.

The man ¹  replied, ²  “And who is he, sir, that ³  I may believe in him?”

[He said, “Lord, I believe,” and he worshiped him. ¹ 

But you refuse to believe because you are not my sheep.

If I do not perform ¹  the deeds ²  of my Father, do not believe me.

for on account of him many of the Jewish people from Jerusalem ¹  were going away and believing in Jesus.

Although Jesus ¹  had performed ²  so many miraculous signs before them, they still refused to believe in him,
