(Now this is love: that we walk ¹  according to his commandments.) This is the commandment, just as you have heard from the beginning; thus ²  you should walk in it. ³ 

Which is easier, ¹  to say, ‘Your sins are forgiven’ or to say, ‘Stand up and walk’?

The girl got up at once and began to walk around (she was twelve years old). They were completely astonished at this. ¹ 

When they saw him walking on the water ¹  they thought he was a ghost. They ²  cried out,

After this he appeared in a different form to two of them while they were on their way to the country.

Which is easier, ¹  to say, ‘Your sins are forgiven,’ or to say, ‘Stand up and walk’?

Woe to you! ¹  You are like unmarked graves, and people ²  walk over them without realizing it!” ³ 

Then ¹  he said to them, “What are these matters ²  you are discussing so intently ³  as you walk along?” And they stood still, looking sad.

Jesus said to him, “Stand up! Pick up your mat ¹  and walk.”

They asked him, “Who is the man who said to you, ‘Pick up your mat ¹  and walk’?” ² 

After this many of his disciples quit following him ¹  and did not accompany him ²  any longer.

But if anyone walks around at night, ¹  he stumbles, ²  because the light is not in him.”

In ¹  Lystra ²  sat a man who could not use his feet, ³  lame from birth, ⁴  who had never walked.

he said with a loud voice, “Stand upright on your feet.” ¹  And the man ²  leaped up and began walking. ³ 

so that the righteous requirement of the law may be fulfilled in us, who do not walk according to the flesh but according to the Spirit.

Let us live decently as in the daytime, not in carousing and drunkenness, not in sexual immorality and sensuality, not in discord and jealousy.

for you are still influenced by the flesh. ¹  For since there is still jealousy and dissension among you, are you not influenced by the flesh and behaving like unregenerate people? ² 

I, therefore, the prisoner for the Lord, ¹  urge you to live ²  worthily of the calling with which you have been called, ³ 

Be imitators of me, ¹  brothers and sisters, ²  and watch carefully those who are living this way, just as you have us as an example.

Be sober and alert. Your enemy the devil, like a roaring lion, ¹  is on the prowl looking for someone ²  to devour.
