But until this very day whenever Moses is read, a veil lies over their minds, ¹ 

I do not want to seem as though I am trying to terrify you with my letters,

So I hope to send him as soon as I know more about my situation,

For if Joshua had given them rest, God ¹  would not have spoken afterward about another day.

For if that first covenant had been faultless, no one would have looked for a second one. ¹ 

In fact, if they had been thinking of the land that they had left, they would have had opportunity to return.

However, hold on to what you have until I come.

I ¹  tell you the truth, ²  until heaven and earth pass away not the smallest letter or stroke of a letter ³  will pass from the law until everything takes place.

“Woe to you, blind guides, who say, ‘Whoever swears by the temple is bound by nothing. ¹  But whoever swears by the gold of the temple is bound by the oath.’

But understand this: If the owner of the house had known at what time of night the thief ¹  was coming, he would have been alert and would not have let his house be broken into.

“Whoever welcomes ¹  one of these little children ²  in my name welcomes me, and whoever welcomes me does not welcome me but the one who sent me.”

So listen carefully, ¹  for whoever has will be given more, but ²  whoever does not have, even what he thinks he has ³  will be taken from him.”

So ¹  the Lord replied, ²  “If ³  you had faith the size of ⁴  a mustard seed, you could say to this black mulberry ⁵  tree, ‘Be pulled out by the roots and planted in the sea,’ ⁶  and it would obey ⁷  you.

I tell you the truth, ¹  you will never get out of there until you have paid the last penny! ² 

If ¹  you had known what this means: ‘I want mercy and not sacrifice,’ ²  you would not have condemned the innocent.

It must not be this way among you! Instead whoever wants to be great among you must be your servant,

The one who falls on this stone will be broken to pieces, and the one on whom it falls will be crushed.” ¹ 

I tell you the truth, ¹  this generation ²  will not pass away until all these things take place.

For whoever does the will of God is ¹  my brother and sister and mother.”

He said to them, “Wherever you enter a house, stay there ¹  until you leave the area.
