and Jesus and his disciples were also invited to the wedding. ¹ 

So they ¹  proposed two candidates: ²  Joseph called Barsabbas (also called Justus) and Matthias.

Now there was a man in Caesarea ¹  named Cornelius, a centurion ²  of what was known as the Italian Cohort. ³ 

Barnabas wanted to bring John called Mark along with them too,

Not long after this, a hurricane-force ¹  wind called the northeaster ²  blew down from the island. ³ 

After we had safely reached shore, ¹  we learned that the island was called Malta. ² 

nor are all the children Abraham’s true descendants; rather “through Isaac will your descendants be counted.” ¹ 

even us, whom he has called, not only from the Jews but also from the Gentiles?

Let each one remain in that situation in life ¹  in which he was called.

In whatever situation someone was called, brothers and sisters, ¹  let him remain in it with God.

For God did not call us to impurity but in holiness.

God had told him, “Through Isaac descendants will carry on your name,” ¹ 

but, like the Holy One who called you, become holy yourselves in all of your conduct,

Now ¹  the spirits ²  gathered the kings and their armies ³  to the place that is called Armageddon ⁴  in Hebrew.

At ¹  the end of eight days, when he was circumcised, he was named Jesus, the name given by the angel ²  before he was conceived in the womb.

But when you are invited, go and take the least important place, so that when your host ¹  approaches he will say to you, ‘Friend, move up here to a better place.’ ²  Then you will be honored in the presence of all who share the meal with you.

but did not have marital relations ¹  with her until she gave birth to a son, whom he named ²  Jesus.

Then Herod ¹  privately summoned the wise men and determined from them when the star had appeared.

So go into the main streets and invite everyone you find to the wedding banquet.’

But you are not to be called ‘Rabbi,’ for you have one Teacher and you are all brothers.
