And he must turn away from evil and do good; he must seek peace and pursue it.

The person who speaks on his own authority ¹  desires ²  to receive honor ³  for himself; the one who desires ⁴  the honor ⁵  of the one who sent him is a man of integrity, ⁶  and there is no unrighteousness in him.

But above all pursue his kingdom ¹  and righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.

“Ask ¹  and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door ²  will be opened for you.

For everyone who asks ¹  receives, and the one who seeks finds, and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened.

The ¹  chief priests and the whole Sanhedrin were trying to find false testimony against Jesus so that they could put him to death.

When they heard this, they were delighted ¹  and promised to give him money. ²  So ³  Judas ⁴  began looking for an opportunity to betray him.

The ¹  whole crowd was trying to touch him, because power ²  was coming out from him and healing them all.

For everyone who asks ¹  receives, and the one who seeks finds, and to the one who knocks, the door ²  will be opened.

So ¹  do not be overly concerned about ²  what you will eat and what you will drink, and do not worry about such things. ³ 

“Exert every effort ¹  to enter through the narrow door, because many, I tell you, will try to enter and will not be able to.

Whoever tries to keep ¹  his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life ²  will preserve it.

The ¹  chief priests and the experts in the law ²  were trying to find some way ³  to execute ⁴  Jesus, ⁵  for they were afraid of the people. ⁶ 

So the Jewish leaders ¹  were looking for him at the feast, asking, “Where is he?” ² 

Then some of the residents of Jerusalem ¹  began to say, “Isn’t this the man ²  they are trying ³  to kill?

You will look for me ¹  but will not find me, and where I am you cannot come.”

The disciples replied, ¹  “Rabbi, the Jewish leaders ²  were just now trying ³  to stone you to death! Are ⁴  you going there again?”

Then Jesus, because he knew everything that was going to happen to him, ¹  came and asked them, “Who are you looking for?” ² 

Jesus replied, ¹  “I told you that I am he. If you are looking for ²  me, let these men ³  go.” ⁴ 

While Peter was still thinking seriously about ¹  the vision, the Spirit said to him, “Look! Three men are looking for you.
