He replied, ¹  “I do not know whether he is a sinner. I do know one thing – that although I was blind, now I can see.”

Now we know that you know everything ¹  and do not need anyone ²  to ask you anything. ³  Because of this ⁴  we believe that you have come from God.”

Why do you ask me? Ask those who heard what I said. ¹  They ²  know what I said.”

So when Jesus saw his mother and the disciple whom he loved standing there, he said to his mother, “Woman, ¹  look, here is your son!”

For how do you know, wife, whether you will bring your husband to salvation? ¹  Or how do you know, husband, whether you will bring your wife to salvation? ² 

I have experienced times of need and times of abundance. In any and every circumstance I have learned the secret of contentment, ¹  whether I go satisfied or hungry, have plenty or nothing.

He alone possesses immortality and lives in unapproachable light, whom no human has ever seen or is able to see. To him be honor and eternal power! Amen.

I have not written to you that ¹  you do not know the truth, but that ²  you do know it, and that ³  no lie is of the truth.

And if we know ¹  that he hears us in regard to whatever we ask, then we know that we have the requests that we have asked from him.

When they saw the star they shouted joyfully. ¹ 

Now when Jesus saw a large crowd ¹  around him, he gave orders to go to the other side of the lake. ² 

What did you go out to see? A prophet? Yes, I tell you, and more ¹  than a prophet.

When ¹  they looked up, all they saw was Jesus alone.

When it was about nine o’clock in the morning, ¹  he went out again and saw others standing around in the marketplace without work.

When the disciples saw it they were amazed, saying, “How did the fig tree wither so quickly?”

“Therefore stay alert, because you do not know on what day ¹  your Lord will come.

But he replied, ¹  ‘I tell you the truth, ²  I do not know you!’

Therefore stay alert, because you do not know the day or the hour. ¹ 

When ¹  did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or naked and clothe you?

When ¹  did we see you sick or in prison and visit you?’
