When ¹  the foolish ones took their lamps, they did not take extra ²  olive oil ³  with them.

But the wise ones took flasks of olive oil with their lamps.

Then all the virgins woke up and trimmed their lamps.

For you will always have the poor with you, but you will not always have me! ¹ 

If ¹  a kingdom is divided against itself, that kingdom will not be able to stand.

If a house is divided against itself, that house will not be able to stand.

Suddenly when they looked around, they saw no one with them any more except Jesus.

Everyone ¹  went to his own town ²  to be registered.

So it is with the one who stores up riches for himself, ¹  but is not rich toward God.”

“And ¹  why don’t you judge for yourselves what is right?

As ¹  he rode along, they ²  spread their cloaks on the road.

When they sprout leaves, you see ¹  for yourselves and know that summer is now near.

Then ¹  he took a cup, ²  and after giving thanks he said, “Take this and divide it among yourselves.

but I know you, that you do not have the love of God ¹  within you.

For you will always have the poor with you, but you will not always have me!” ¹ 

Therefore, each of us will give an account of himself to God. ¹ 

Do not seek your own good, but the good of the other person.

The one who speaks in a tongue builds himself up, ¹  but the one who prophesies builds up the church.

For if anyone thinks he is something when he is nothing, he deceives himself.

Because they are callous, they have given themselves over to indecency for the practice of every kind of impurity with greediness. ¹
