They all began to weep loudly, ¹  and hugged ²  Paul and kissed him, ³ 

But as the man ¹  went out he began to announce it publicly and spread the story widely, so that Jesus ²  was no longer able to enter any town openly but stayed outside in remote places. Still ³  they kept coming ⁴  to him from everywhere.

You must by all means lend ¹  to him and not be upset by doing it, ²  for because of this the Lord your God will bless you in all your work and in everything you attempt.

All their neighbors assisted ¹  them with silver utensils, ²  gold, equipment, animals, and expensive gifts, not to mention ³  all the voluntary offerings.

He also said to me, “It is done! ¹  I am the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end. To the one who is thirsty I will give water ²  free of charge ³  from the spring of the water of life.

And the Spirit and the bride say, “Come!” And let the one who hears say: “Come!” And let the one who is thirsty come; let the one who wants it take the water of life free of charge.

Instead, you must be sure to open your hand to him and generously lend ¹  him whatever he needs. ² 

When they could not pay, he canceled ¹  the debts of both. Now which of them will love him more?”

So he was staying with them, associating openly with them ¹  in Jerusalem, speaking out boldly in the name of the Lord.

Whatever you vow, you must be careful to do what you have promised, such as what you have vowed to the Lord your God as a freewill offering.

When they came to the Lord’s temple in Jerusalem, some of the family leaders ¹  offered voluntary offerings for the temple of God in order to rebuild ²  it on its site.

I have now issued a decree ¹  that anyone in my kingdom from the people of Israel – even the priests and Levites – who wishes to do so may go up with you to Jerusalem. ² 

Your people willingly follow you ¹  when you go into battle. ²  On the holy hills ³  at sunrise ⁴  the dew of your youth ⁵  belongs to you. ⁶ 

and said to him, “Everyone ¹  serves the good wine first, and then the cheaper ²  wine when the guests ³  are drunk. You have kept the good wine until now!”

Drinks ¹  were served in golden containers, all of which differed from one another. Royal wine was available in abundance at the king’s expense.

I am the door. If anyone enters through me, he will be saved, and will come in and go out, ¹  and find pasture. ² 

You widen my path; ¹  my feet ²  do not slip.

The people gave their blessing on all the men who volunteered to settle in Jerusalem.

what wise men declare, hiding nothing, from the tradition of ¹  their ancestors, ² 

What man is like Job, who ¹  drinks derision ²  like water!
