and he slaughtered it. ¹  Moses then took the blood and put it all around on the horns of the altar with his finger and decontaminated the altar, ²  and he poured out the rest of the blood at the base of the altar and so consecrated it to make atonement on it. ³ 

The Lord gave me the two stone tablets, written by the very finger ¹  of God, and on them was everything ²  he ³  said to you at the mountain from the midst of the fire at the time of that assembly.

But Jesus ¹  replied, ²  “Woe to you experts in religious law as well! ³  You load people ⁴  down with burdens difficult to bear, yet you yourselves refuse to touch ⁵  the burdens with even one of your fingers!

But the father said to his slaves, ¹  ‘Hurry! Bring the best robe, ²  and put it on him! Put a ring on his finger ³  and sandals ⁴  on his feet!

Then Pharaoh took his signet ring from his own hand and put it on Joseph’s. He clothed him with fine linen ¹  clothes and put a gold chain around his neck.

Then ¹  he bent over again and wrote on the ground.

Do not let anyone accuse or contend against anyone else: ¹  for my case is against you priests! ² 

So the king removed his signet ring ¹  from his hand and gave it to Haman the son of Hammedatha, the Agagite, who was hostile toward the Jews.

The Lord ¹  will fight for you, and you can be still.” ² 

By his breath ¹  the skies became fair; his hand pierced the fleeing serpent. ² 

They destroy ¹  my path; they succeed in destroying me ²  without anyone assisting ³  them.

He protects ¹  all his bones; ²  not one of them is broken. ³ 

You broke open the spring and the stream; ¹  you dried up perpetually flowing rivers. ² 

he winks with his eyes, signals with his feet, and points with his fingers; ¹ 

for she kept saying, ¹  “If only I touch his clothes, I will be healed.” ² 

So the Lord said to Satan, “All right then, ¹  everything he has is ²  in your power. ³  Only do not extend your hand against the man himself!” ⁴  So Satan went out ⁵  from the presence of the Lord. ⁶
