like Sarah who obeyed ¹  Abraham, calling him lord. You become her children ²  when you do what is good and have no fear in doing so. ³ 

So I responded to you, “Do not be terrified ¹  of them!

Terrors ¹  frighten him on all sides and dog ²  his every step.

That is why snares surround you, and why sudden fear terrifies you,

Terrors overwhelm him like a flood; ¹  at night a whirlwind carries him off.

How desolate they become in a mere moment! Terrifying judgments make their demise complete! ¹ 

She persuaded him ¹  with persuasive words; ²  with her smooth talk ³  she compelled him. ⁴ 

For the very thing I dreaded ¹  has happened ²  to me, and what I feared has come upon me. ³ 

Terrifying sounds fill ¹  his ears; in a time of peace marauders ²  attack him.

He is dragged from the security of his tent, ¹  and marched off ²  to the king ³  of terrors.

This oppressed man cried out and the Lord heard; he saved him ¹  from all his troubles.

and all people will fear. ¹  They will proclaim ²  what God has done, and reflect on his deeds.

I am a friend to all your loyal followers, ¹  and to those who keep your precepts.

In the fear of the Lord one has ¹  strong confidence, ²  and it will be a refuge ³  for his children.

She is not ¹  afraid of the snow ²  for her household, for all of her household are clothed with scarlet. ³ 

And the fruit that consists of righteousness ¹  is planted ²  in peace among ³  those who make peace.

And he must turn away from evil and do good; he must seek peace and pursue it.

Greet one another with a loving kiss. ¹  Peace to all of you who are in Christ. ² 

May grace and peace be lavished on you ¹  as you grow ²  in the rich knowledge ³  of God and of Jesus our Lord! ⁴
