So Joseph moved them from Israel’s knees ¹  and bowed down with his face to the ground.

David’s power grew steadily, for the Lord God ¹  who commands armies ²  was with him. ³ 

They are soaked by mountain rains and huddle ¹  in the rocks because they lack shelter.

You remove all the wicked of the earth like slag. ¹  Therefore I love your rules. ² 

The one who neglects ¹  discipline ends up in ²  poverty and shame, but the one who accepts reproof is honored. ³ 

Those who forsake the law ¹  praise the wicked, ²  but those who keep the law contend ³  with them.

but ¹  glory and honor and peace for everyone who does good, for the Jew first and also the Greek.

For with the heart one believes and thus has righteousness ¹  and with the mouth one confesses and thus has salvation. ² 

Everyone who denies the Son does not have the Father either. The person who confesses the Son has the Father also. ¹

For this reason I tell you, whatever you pray and ask for, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.

but also for our sake, to whom it will be credited, those who believe in the one who raised Jesus our Lord from the dead.

so that the righteous requirement of the law may be fulfilled in us, who do not walk according to the flesh but according to the Spirit.

In regard to the gospel they are enemies for your sake, but in regard to election they are dearly loved for the sake of the fathers.

And just as we have borne the image of the man of dust, let us also bear ¹  the image of the man of heaven.

and to reconcile them both in one body to God through the cross, by which the hostility has been killed. ¹ 

Therefore let those of us who are “perfect” embrace this point of view. ¹  If you think otherwise, God will reveal to you the error of your ways. ² 

For the one who wants to love life and see good days must keep ¹  his tongue from evil and his lips from uttering deceit.
