They have sunk deep into corruption ¹  as in the days of Gibeah. He will remember their wrongdoing. He will repay them for their sins.

Woe to you! ¹  You are like unmarked graves, and people ²  walk over them without realizing it!” ³ 

It is the same with the resurrection of the dead. What is sown is perishable, what is raised is imperishable. ¹ 

Now this is what I am saying, brothers and sisters: ¹  Flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God, nor does the perishable inherit the imperishable.

Set the empty pot on the coals, ¹  until it becomes hot and its copper glows, until its uncleanness melts within it and its rot ²  is consumed.

For anyone who acts dishonestly in these ways is abhorrent ¹  to the Lord your God.

He redeemed my life ¹  from going down to the place of corruption, and my life sees the light!’
