My soul ¹  pursues you; ²  your right hand upholds me.

O Lord, hear my prayer! Pay attention to my plea for mercy!

Before I was afflicted I used to stray off, ¹  but now I keep your instructions. ² 

Jerusalem ¹  is a city designed to accommodate an assembly. ² 

My child, pay attention to my words; listen attentively ¹  to my sayings.

Go to the ant, you sluggard; ¹  observe its ways and be wise!
