For the bread of God is the one who ¹  comes down from heaven and gives life to the world.”

You will not eat anything made with yeast; in all the places where you live you must eat bread made without yeast.’”

You are to set the Bread of the Presence ¹  on the table before me continually.

the table with its poles and all its vessels, and the Bread of the Presence;

the table, all its utensils, and the Bread of the Presence;

They asked for food, ¹  and he sent quails; he satisfied them with food from the sky. ² 

For they eat bread ¹  gained from wickedness ²  and drink wine obtained from violence. ³ 

Bread gained by deceit ¹  tastes sweet to a person, ²  but afterward his mouth will be filled with gravel. ³ 

Because there is one bread, we who are many are one body, for we all share the one bread.

The priest replied to David, “I don’t have any ordinary bread at my disposal. Only holy bread is available, and then only if your soldiers ¹  have abstained from sexual relations with women.” ² 

I am the living bread that came down from heaven. If anyone eats from this bread he will live forever. The bread ¹  that I will give for the life of the world is my flesh.”

So then, let us celebrate the festival, not with the old yeast, the yeast of vice and evil, but with the bread without yeast, the bread of sincerity and truth. ¹ 

Melchizedek king of Salem ¹  brought out bread and wine. (Now he was the priest of the Most High God.) ² 

Then she handed ¹  the tasty food and the bread she had made to her son Jacob.

And he set the bread in order on it ¹  before the Lord, just as the Lord had commanded Moses.

He must present this grain offering ¹  in addition to ring-shaped loaves of leavened bread which regularly accompany ²  the sacrifice of his thanksgiving peace offering.

Now what do you have at your disposal? ¹  Give me five loaves of bread, or whatever can be found.”

Jesus answered him, “It is written, ‘Man ¹  does not live by bread alone.’” ² 

But some boats from Tiberias ¹  came to shore ²  near the place where they had eaten the bread after the Lord had given thanks. ³ 

Then the Jews who were hostile to Jesus ¹  began complaining about him because he said, “I am the bread that came down from heaven,”
