To you, O Lord, I cried out; I begged the Lord for mercy: ¹ 

Then the slave threw himself to the ground ¹  before him, saying, ²  ‘Be patient with me, and I will repay you everything.’

Then the neighbors and the people who had seen him previously ¹  as a beggar began saying, ²  “Is this not the man ³  who used to sit and beg?”

But Lot said to them, “No, please, Lord! ¹ 

Moreover, at that time I pleaded with the Lord,

He asked him urgently, “My little daughter is near death. Come and lay your hands on her so that she may be healed and live.”

Then ¹  a man named Jairus, who was a ruler ²  of the synagogue, ³  came up. Falling ⁴  at Jesus’ feet, he pleaded ⁵  with him to come to his house,

When he heard that Jesus had come back from Judea to Galilee, he went to him and begged him ¹  to come down and heal his son, who was about to die.

And wherever he would go – into villages, towns, or countryside – they would place the sick in the marketplaces, and would ask him if ¹  they could just touch the edge of his cloak, and all who touched it were healed.

But he did not answer her a word. Then ¹  his disciples came and begged him, ²  “Send her away, because she keeps on crying out after us.”

He said, “No, my brothers! Don’t act so wickedly! ¹ 

I love the Lord because he heard my plea for mercy, ² 

But she came and bowed down ¹  before him and said, ²  “Lord, help me!”

While ¹  Jesus ²  was in one of the towns, ³  a man came ⁴  to him who was covered with ⁵  leprosy. ⁶  When ⁷  he saw Jesus, he bowed down with his face to the ground ⁸  and begged him, ⁹  “Lord, if you are willing, you can make me clean.”

He went to Pilate and asked for the body ¹  of Jesus.

Then Esther again spoke with the king, falling at his feet. She wept and begged him for mercy, that he might nullify the evil of Haman the Agagite which he had intended against the Jews. ¹ 

He struggled ¹  with an angel and prevailed; he wept and begged for his favor. He found God ²  at Bethel, ³  and there he spoke with him! ⁴ 

“Have I ¹  ever said, ²  ‘Give me something, and from your fortune ³  make gifts ⁴  in my favor’?

O Lord, in distress they looked for you; they uttered incantations because of your discipline. ¹ 

He went to Pilate and asked for the body of Jesus. ¹  Then Pilate ordered that it be given to him.
