He swore to her, ¹  “Whatever you ask I will give you, up to half my kingdom.” ² 

So Simon Peter ¹  gestured to this disciple ²  to ask Jesus ³  who it was he was referring to. ⁴ 

So ¹  she went out and said to her mother, “What should I ask for?” Her mother ²  said, “The head of John the baptizer.” ³ 

Therefore when you sent for me, ¹  I came without any objection. Now may I ask why ²  you sent for me?”

and if ¹  I ask you, you will not ²  answer.

The stones ¹  will be a reminder to you. ²  When your children ask someday, ‘Why are these stones important to you?’

He told the Israelites, “When your children someday ask their fathers, ‘What do these stones represent?’ ¹ 

You who live in Aroer, ¹  stand by the road and watch. Question the man who is fleeing and the woman who is escaping. Ask them, ‘What has happened?’

“So ¹  I tell you: Ask, ²  and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and the door ³  will be opened for you.

Now ¹  this was ²  John’s ³  testimony ⁴  when the Jewish leaders ⁵  sent ⁶  priests and Levites from Jerusalem ⁷  to ask him, “Who are you?” ⁸ 

If you remain ¹  in me and my words remain ²  in you, ask whatever you want, and it will be done for you. ³ 

Until now you have not asked for anything in my name. Ask and you will receive it, ¹  so that your joy may be complete.

If they want to find out about something, they should ask their husbands at home, because it is disgraceful for a woman to speak in church. ¹ 

But if anyone is deficient in wisdom, he should ask God, who gives to all generously and without reprimand, and it will be given to him.

The watchman replies, “Morning is coming, but then night. ¹  If you want to ask, ask; come back again.” ² 

Then ¹  I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Advocate ²  to be with you forever –

Instruct ¹  the people that each man and each woman is to request ²  from his or her neighbor ³  items of silver and gold.” ⁴ 

The Lord’s messenger said to him, “You should not ask me my name, because you cannot comprehend it.” ¹ 

One night in Gibeon the Lord appeared ¹  to Solomon in a dream. God said, “Tell ²  me what I should give you.”

Ask me, and I will give you the nations as your inheritance, ¹  the ends of the earth as your personal property.
