The sea looked and fled; ¹  the Jordan River ²  turned back. ³ 

to the one who divided ¹  the Red Sea ²  in two, ³  for his loyal love endures,

But you trample on the sea with your horses, on the surging, raging waters. ¹ 

But ¹  the Lord hurled ²  a powerful ³  wind on the sea. Such a violent ⁴  tempest arose on the sea that ⁵  the ship threatened to break up! ⁶ 

Because the storm was growing worse and worse, ¹  they said to him, “What should we do to you to make ²  the sea calm down ³  for us?”

As he went along the Sea of Galilee, he saw Simon and Andrew, Simon’s brother, casting a net into the sea (for they were fishermen). ¹ 

He put “The Sea” on the south side, in the southeast corner.

the big bronze basin called “The Sea” with its twelve bulls underneath,

Its measure is longer than the earth, and broader than the sea.

See how he scattered ¹  his lightning ²  about him; he has covered the depths ³  of the sea.

I will place his hand over the sea, his right hand over the rivers. ¹ 

¹ Some traveled on ²  the sea in ships, and carried cargo over the vast waters. ³ 

The sea has swept over Babylon. She has been covered by a multitude ¹  of its waves. ² 

Then four large beasts came up from the sea; they were different from one another.

By now a strong wind was blowing and the sea was getting rough.

and all were baptized ¹  into Moses in the cloud and in the sea,

The Arabah and the Jordan River ¹  were also a border, from the sea of Chinnereth ²  to the sea of the Arabah (that is, the Salt Sea), ³  beneath the watershed ⁴  of Pisgah ⁵  to the east.

He said to me, “These waters go out toward the eastern region and flow down into the Arabah; when they enter the Dead Sea, ¹  where the sea is stagnant, ²  the waters become fresh. ³ 

The sea is his, for he made it. His hands formed the dry land.
