So Paul ¹  entered ²  the synagogue ³  and spoke out fearlessly ⁴  for three months, addressing ⁵  and convincing ⁶  them about the kingdom of God. ⁷ 

Therefore be alert, ¹  remembering that night and day for three years I did not stop warning ²  each one of you with tears.

therefore ¹  you who teach someone else, do you not teach yourself? You who preach against stealing, do you steal?

So, brothers and sisters, ¹  I could not speak to you as spiritual people, but instead as people of the flesh, ²  as infants in Christ.

These things happened to them as examples and were written for our instruction, on whom the ends of the ages have come.

But if all prophesy, and an unbeliever or uninformed person enters, he will be convicted by all, he will be called to account by all.

If anyone considers himself a prophet or spiritual person, he should acknowledge that what I write to you is the Lord’s command.

not that there really is another gospel, ¹  but ²  there are some who are disturbing you and wanting ³  to distort the gospel of Christ.

For I did not receive it or learn it from any human source; ¹  instead I received it ²  by a revelation of Jesus Christ. ³ 

It was he ¹  who gave some as apostles, some as prophets, some as evangelists, and some as pastors and teachers, ² 

Fathers, ¹  do not provoke your children to anger, ²  but raise them up in the discipline and instruction of the Lord.

And what you learned and received and heard and saw in me, do these things. And the God of peace will be with you.

rooted ¹  and built up in him and firm ²  in your ³  faith just as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness.

Now on the topic of brotherly love ¹  you have no need for anyone to write you, for you yourselves are taught by God to love one another.

Therefore, brothers and sisters, ¹  stand firm and hold on to the traditions that we taught you, whether by speech or by letter. ² 

And the Lord’s slave ¹  must not engage in heated disputes ²  but be kind toward all, an apt teacher, patient,

correcting ¹  opponents with gentleness. Perhaps God will grant them repentance and then knowledge of the truth ² 

You, however, must continue ¹  in the things you have learned and are confident about. You know ²  who taught you ³ 

and a sound message that cannot be criticized, so that any opponent will be at a loss, ¹  because he has nothing evil to say about us.

Not many of you should become teachers, my brothers and sisters, ¹  because you know that we will be judged more strictly. ²
