As it is written, “For your sake we encounter death all day long; we were considered as sheep to be slaughtered.” ¹ 

For the one who serves Christ in this way is pleasing to God and approved by people. ¹ 

Far be it from you to do such a thing – to kill the godly with the wicked, treating the godly and the wicked alike! Far be it from you! Will not the judge ¹  of the whole earth do what is right?” ² 

If the place he ¹  chooses to locate his name is too far for you, you may slaughter any of your herd and flock he ²  has given you just as I have stipulated; you may eat them in your villages ³  just as you wish.
